(LD).An optical disc which store information that can be read by a laser beam.Laser disc can be used to store data, but are usually used for video and audio together.Laser disc come in 8" and 12" diameters.Information can be stored in constant linear velocity or constant angular velocity format.The 8" laser disc can hold up to 20 minutes of video per side; the 12" size holds up to 60 minutes per side.
