Parallel Interface

A port that transmits a number of bits at a time by means of multiple parallel channel.A parallel interface is used to connect the printer on a PC.A parallel interface may transmit eight bit (one byte) at a time, or several bytes at a time.A common parallel interface used in personal computer has 36 channels; eight channel are used to transfer a byte of data at one time, and the other channel are for addressing, error correction, and other control signals.
